The WORK | PLAY table and seating concept answers the needs of anyone who works and plays in their small home. It was conceived as a solution for dining tables that are under-used and desks that are over-cluttered.
In the modern work-anywhere lifestyle, it is always a struggle to define work time and play time. We often find ourselves eating at our desks, or sketching at dinner. The common ground is the horizontal surface on which these activities take place. The conceptual line between work and play is realized in this concept with a physical divider integrated into the table. One can simply slide the divider to the lifestyle balance of their choice.
The accompanying rolling SIT | STORE bench also serves dual roles. When relaxing at the table the bench serves as seating with a comfortable upholstered top. When duty calls and the work must begin again, one can just lift the seat to reveal storage for files and a pop-up shelf unit for office supplies.
