Jed Crystal
Born in New York in 1972, Jed has always had a fascination with the way things work. Starting in his early years by disassembling the family phonograph, he continued his education at the University of Vermont with a degree in Art and Business. In 2002 he earned his Master of Industrial Design degree at Pratt Institute. Jed has since focused on designing products for the outdoor industry - including backpacks, gloves, and footwear - as well as furniture and housewares, from his studio in Vermont. Jed concentrates on the goal of extracting the essential needs of a design, and creating distinct products. He is the 3rd place winner of the 2006 Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass competition, participant in the 2006 Industreal DREAM exhibition, and his work has been featured in publications worldwide.
